Pan-seared Filet Mignon

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 (6 ounce) beef tenderloin, filets
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Recipe

  • 1 sprinkle fillets with salt and pepper on both sides. rub seasoning into meat with your fingers.
  • 2 melt butter with olive oil in a large cast iron skillet over medium heat. add filets and cook 5-7 minutes on each side.
  • 3 remove from heat, cover filets with foil and allow to stand for 5 minutes before serving.
