Lamb Sticks With Herb Yoghurt Dip

Ingredients
- 750 g lean lamb fillets, minced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 -3 teaspoons fresh mint, chopped
- 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon red wine
- 500 g unsweetened plain yogurt
- 2 -3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 -2 tablespoon parsley, chopped
- 1 -2 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
- 2 -3 tablespoons fresh mint, chopped
Recipe
- 1 combine lamb, onion, garlic, wine, spices and herbs in bowl.
- 2 mix well.
- 3 shape enough mixture (about 1 tablespoon) around 1 end of the skewers.
- 4 refrigerate.
- 5 just before serving: grill sticks on bbq until well browned all over and cooked through.
- 6 herb yoghurt dip: combine all ingredients in bowl and mix well.
- 7 serve lamb sticks with the herb yoghurt dip.
- 8 tip: if you wet the skewers before barbecuing, they will not burn.
