Grilled Tilapia Recipe

Total Time: 1 hr 35 mins Preparation Time: 1 hr 15 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 whole tilapia fillets, about 1 1/2 lb each
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 lemon, juice of
  • red chili pepper flakes, to taste
  • salt, to taste
  • 1 cup vegetable oil

Recipe

  • 1 combine all the ingredients (except the fish) in a large glass bowl and whisk until well mixed.
  • 2 make three deep slits on each side of the fish then rub the oil and spice marinade onto and into the fish.
  • 3 place the fish in the bowl and allow to marinade for up to an hour.
  • 4 cook the fish over a barbecue or cook under a grill, turning once or twice. serve accompanied by african hot sauce.
