Mustard Salmon

Ingredients

- 1 salmon fillet, cut into 5 equal pieces (1-1/2 pounds)
- 1/4 cup coarse grain mustard
- 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 450 degrees f. you will need a rimmed baking sheet lined with foil.
- 2 place salmon pieces 1-inch apart, skin side down, on the lined baking sheet.
- 3 stir mustard and maple syrup together in a small bowl until blended; spoon evenly on salmon.
- 4 bake 10 minutes until salmon is opaque in center.
- 5 note: add 1/4 cup of panko crumbs on top of each mustard-coated salmon fillet before baking.
- 6 add 1 teaspoon orange zest to the mustard mixture.
- 7 omit the maple syrup and instead add 1/4 cup packed brown sugar and 1 tablespoon soy sauce to mustard.
