Mustard Salmon

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 5
  • 1 salmon fillet, cut into 5 equal pieces (1-1/2 pounds)
  • 1/4 cup coarse grain mustard
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 450 degrees f. you will need a rimmed baking sheet lined with foil.
  • 2 place salmon pieces 1-inch apart, skin side down, on the lined baking sheet.
  • 3 stir mustard and maple syrup together in a small bowl until blended; spoon evenly on salmon.
  • 4 bake 10 minutes until salmon is opaque in center.
  • 5 note: add 1/4 cup of panko crumbs on top of each mustard-coated salmon fillet before baking.
  • 6 add 1 teaspoon orange zest to the mustard mixture.
  • 7 omit the maple syrup and instead add 1/4 cup packed brown sugar and 1 tablespoon soy sauce to mustard.
