Indian-style Salmon

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 cup plain fat-free yogurt
  • 1/2 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 4 (6 ounce) boneless salmon fillets

Recipe

  • 1 1. combine the yogurt, cayenne pepper, garlic, ginger, cilantro, ground coriander, cumin, salt and turmeric in a resealable plastic bag. close bag and mix everything together until evenly combined.
  • 2 2. add the salmon and toss until well coated with the marinade; marinate overnight.
  • 3 3. preheat the oven broiler. lightly grease a baking pan.
  • 4 4. remove salmon from marinade and shake off excess; discard remaining marinade.
  • 5 5. place into prepared baking pan and broil in preheated oven until salmon flakes easily with a fork. (5-7 minutes per side).
