Grilled Halibut With Grapefruit Oregano Relish

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 1/2 lbs halibut steaks or 1 1/2 lbs fillets
  • 3 tablespoons dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup grapefruit juice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh oregano, chopped or 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • 1 tablespoon old-style mustard
  • 1 red grapefruit, sectioned and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped or 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

Recipe

  • 1 marinade; in a shallow glass dish, whisk together dijon mustard, grapefruit juice, olive oil, oregano and pepper; add halibut, turning to coat. cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • 2 relish: in a smal bowl, whisk together old-style mustard, chopped grapefruit sections, olive oil, honey, oregano and pepper. cover and refrigerate.
  • 3 preheat grill or broiler to high. grill halibut for about 4 minutes per side or until done.
  • 4 transfer grilled halibut to serving platter. spoon relish on top of halibut.
