Chicken And Potato Saute

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 chicken breast fillets
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced thickly
  • 1 large onion, sliced thickly
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 chicken stock cube

Recipe

  • 1 cut the chicken into serving size pieces and coat in flour.
  • 2 heat a little oil in a large frying pan which has a tightly fitting lid.
  • 3 add the chicken and brown lightly and evenly.
  • 4 remove chicken and set aside.
  • 5 add to pan the potatoes and onion and brown evenly.
  • 6 return chicken to the pan.
  • 7 pour over combined chicken stock cube and water.
  • 8 bring to the boil.
  • 9 cover and simmer for 3/4 hr gently stirring occasionally.
