Gg's Fried Catfish

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 1/2 cups yellow cornmeal
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 catfish fillets
  • vegetable oil (for deep frying)

Recipe

  • 1 mis cornmeal, flour, salt, garlic powder and the peppers together.
  • 2 dredge fish fillets in flour mixture, shaking off excess.
  • 3 heat oil to 375 degrees.
  • 4 fry fish 3 to 4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  • 5 drain on paper towels.
