Golden Fried Flounder Fillets With Onion

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup butter, for frying
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 lbs flounder fillets (6)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • watercress, for garnish (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 about 45 minutes before serving, in a 12" skillet, over medium heat, in 2 tablespoons butter, cook the onion until tender, about 5 minutes; remove to a plate and keep warm.
  • 2 meanwhile, cut fillets in half crosswise.
