Hot Anchovy Dip

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 garlic clove (crushed)
- 1 1/2 ounces anchovy fillets (do not drain)
- 10 ounces cream
- 3 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
Recipe
- 1 melt butter in small saucepan.
- 2 add garlic & cook for 1 minute, but do not brown.
- 3 add undrained anchovies + cream, bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer & simmer for 5 minutes.
- 4 blend cornstarch w/water, stir into anchovy mixture & stir constantly over moderate heat till mixture boils & thickens.
- 5 remove from heat & serve hot w/assorted veggies of your choice
- 6 (the picture i have showed it served w/carrot sticks, broccoli florets & asparagus spears).
