Hot Anchovy Dip

Total Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 garlic clove (crushed)
  • 1 1/2 ounces anchovy fillets (do not drain)
  • 10 ounces cream
  • 3 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in small saucepan.
  • 2 add garlic & cook for 1 minute, but do not brown.
  • 3 add undrained anchovies + cream, bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer & simmer for 5 minutes.
  • 4 blend cornstarch w/water, stir into anchovy mixture & stir constantly over moderate heat till mixture boils & thickens.
  • 5 remove from heat & serve hot w/assorted veggies of your choice
  • 6 (the picture i have showed it served w/carrot sticks, broccoli florets & asparagus spears).
