Mustard Broil Mackerel

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 lbs mackerel fillets
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 lemon, sliced

Recipe

  • 1 bone and fillet fish.
  • 2 rinse under cold water and pat dry.
  • 3 place fillets, skin side down on a greased broiler pan.
  • 4 combine 1 tbsp melted butter, parsley, salt and pepper and brush fish well.
  • 5 broil 2 to 3 inches from heat about 5 minutes. do not turn.
  • 6 mix remaining butter with mustard, dill and lemon juice.
  • 7 pour over fillets and broil for 5 minutes longer or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
  • 8 serve garnished with lemon slices.
