Halibut With Jager Sauce

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb halibut fillet
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • salt & pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil or 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup green onion (sliced)
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 1/2 cups mushrooms
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons red wine (deglaze the pan)

Recipe

  • 1 salt and pepper flour to taste.
  • 2 dredge halibut in flour.
  • 3 fry in oil until golden brown.
  • 4 remove and place in oven to keep warm.
  • 5 fry green onions in olive oil until they are slightly brown.
  • 6 add garlic and mushrooms and cook until mushrooms are tender.
  • 7 deglaze with red wine.
  • 8 add heavy cream and simmer until sauce thinkens so to coat a metal spoon.
