Chicken And French Onion Casserole

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 chicken breast fillets
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 (30 g) packet french onion soup mix
  • oil
  • 3 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Recipe

  • 1 cut the chicken into serving size pieces.
  • 2 combine flour and soup mix in a shallow dish.
  • 3 toss chicken in the mix til well coated.
  • 4 reserve the excess flour and soup mix.
  • 5 heat oil in pan and brown the chicken.
  • 6 place into a casserole dish.
  • 7 add bacon and onion to the pan and cook till onion is soft.
  • 8 place in casserole with chicken.
  • 9 add reserved flour and soup mix and water to the casserole.
  • 10 cover and cook 200 deg celsius for 3/4 hour.
  • 11 stir in cream and parsley and serve.
