Manhattan Style Fish And Vegetable Chowder

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 quart tomato juice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup green beans
  • 1 cup corn
  • 1 cup cubed potato
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped carrot
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 12 ounces halibut fillets, cubed
  • salt and cayenne

Recipe

  • 1 combine all ingredients except fish, salt and cayenne in slow cooker. cover and cook on low 6-8 hours, adding fish during last 15 minutes.
  • 2 discard bay leaf. season to taste with salt and cayenne.
